Budweiser China Won “Excellent Catering Service Supplier” in China Catering Conference

March 17th and 18th, the Sixth China Catering Conference, hosted by top Catering Media “China Restaurant Insider (CRI)”, was successfully held in China World Hotel Beijing. Budweiser China won “Excellent Catering Service Supplier” and Chief Marketing Officer Matt Che delivered a themed speech in the conference.

China Catering Conference is of the largest scale and highest quality in catering industry. The Sixth Conference gathered 300+ top Chain Catering brands and 1,500+ Catering elites nationwide, including many top influential Hot Pot and BBQ brand funders.


The CEO of CRI, Mr. Qin Chao shared Catering industry trends and insights in 2020. Catering revenue and revenue growth by month both showed a “V” shape rebounding. Subcategory wise, Hot Pot sees more Matthew Effects and BBQ fast expansion in top tier cites. All these once again proved our channel strategy, focusing on promising subcategories Hot Pot and BBQ , and building capabilities to win top influential chains.

Budweiser APAC CMO Matt Che was invited to give the speech, “How Global Beer Giant Leads the New Era of Diversified ‘Catering and Beer’ Occasions”. He introduced the diversifying-occasion trends and consumer insights Budweiser observed, also mentioned that we’re in the times of “all-things-are-media”. With powerful brands, Budweiser China would like to build win-win occasion-based portfolios with Restaurant Owners, cooperate tailor-made campaigns based on catering brands profile, and create better consumer experience with co-branding efforts. He shared the case that Budweiser relaunched Bai Sha Beer and made it a cyberstar product together with “Wenhoyo Superb” (the Super Crawfish Brand), increasing overall beer margin by 20%. Many chain owners approached for cooperation opportunities after the case sharing.


Budweiser China presented two high-quality booths in the conference. The guests have been impressed by the 246-brewing-procedure Budweiser, the single-malt Bud Supreme and the lime-ritual Corona. Bud Supreme SBT as the quality icon of premium restaurants, was designated to be the exclusive beer brand in the Awarding Ceremony Dinner. The 100+ top influential chain funders experienced a high-quality Supreme dinner. During the ceremony, Restaurant Sales also built connections with some top influential hot pot chain funders, including Da Long Yi, De Zhuang, etc..

This conference was a good start for Budweiser China to explore the top influential chain brands development, showing both powerful portfolio and branding capability, and also building initial connections with the funders.
